We have just hired an energy management company to carry out an energy appraisal of the business as a whole and see if there are any ways that we can become more energy efficient as well as saving money on our business gas. Ideally we would like to get a cheaper business gas rate through our current business gas supplier but actually when we compare business gas prices we found that we were paying well over the odds for our business gas rates and that there was cheap business gas to be had if you selected the right business gas supplier. Hairdressing saloons use a lot of energy whether it is electricity usage through using the hair dryers all the time or it can be the business gas due to the fact that we need hot water on all the time so that we can wash peoples hair and that is not to mention the washing machine which is on constantly to keep up with need in fresh towels. The company was great at suggesting ways that we could try reducing our energy usage at certain times of the day as well as swapping our business gas to cheaper business gas rates. I have enjoyed their input into making my business mores successful by saving money as well as by reducing our carbon footprint as well.
